Kadampa Meditation Center Texas strives to exemplify Buddhist practice through public service.

Visitor center

KMC Texas is a major visitor center for Arlington and the Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex.

In addition to the unique Buddhist Temple, Bookstore and gift shop, in the future, the Center will offer a beautiful World Peace Garden, consisting of native plants, water features, walking paths, and quiet sitting places for visitors to enjoy.

Group visits by schools, universities, and other groups as well as personal visits are welcomed and can be arranged by calling the Center.  For more information, see visiting the center.

Support for the local community

KMC Texas supports the local and worldwide community by offering teachings and advice on how to live a peaceful and meaningful life.

When requested practitioners from the Center, including monks and nuns, visit those who are sick, dying, or suffering to offer advice and prayers. We also offers funeral services and other special public services and teaching events.

The Center is also currently offering teachings in three federal prisons within the Metroplex.
